Exciting Opportunity: In-House Associate - Construction



Location: Bath



Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum



Contract: Permanent, Full Time



Are you a talented solicitor with a passion for construction law? Our client, a leading consultancy of engineers, consultants, and advisers, is seeking an In-House Associate to join their dynamic team in Bath!



About the Role: As an In-House Associate, you will:



  • Provide timely legal and commercial advice to mitigate risks on global projects.
  • Review, negotiate, and finalise various contractual documents, including consultancy appointments and agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with governance policies and assist in making cases for deviations when necessary.
  • Support the proper operation and administration of contracts and the legal framework.
  • Deliver training to enhance awareness of legal and commercial issues relevant to the industry.
  • Develop systems and procedures to improve the efficiency of the Commercial and Legal team.
  • Collaborate with other business functions to resolve issues inclusively.


Your Skills and Experience:



  • Legally qualified with 0-2 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Essential experience in construction law and familiarity with the construction industry.
  • Proficient in drafting and reviewing contracts.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Commercial mindset with excellent administrative and organisational skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
