A well-established, growing independent firm in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their Corporate Services team. You'll work with a broad client base across sectors including corporate, not-for-profit, property, agriculture, and professional services.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist partners and managers with audit and compliance services for corporate clients
- Lead audit assignments on-site and remotely, supervising junior staff
- Prepare and review client accounts, tax, and VAT returns to required standards
- Handle remuneration planning and technical compliance tasks
- Identify and escalate opportunities for additional client services
- Ensure timely submission of client documentation and filings
- Communicate proactively with clients and manage workloads efficiently
- Support and mentor trainees, providing guidance and feedback
- Keep up to date with training and industry developments
About you:
- ACA or ACCA qualified with UK practice experience
- Strong understanding of accounts preparation, tax, and audit procedures
- Familiarity with cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero) preferred
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Detail-focused, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working with accounting and office software
