Title: Regulatory Solicitor NQ-3PQE
Location: Birmingham (Leicester) Salary: £50-65,000 DOE.
Join a dynamic and nationally recognised regulatory team as a Regulatory Solicitor in our Top40 client's Birmingham (or Leicester) office. Our client is seeking a passionate and skilled individual to enhance their offering in health & safety, motor crime, and inquests work. With a recent Tier 1 ranking for Health and Safety work, this team is poised to lead the market.
About the Role:
As a Regulatory Solicitor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality legal services. Your main duties will include:
- Handling work in Health & Safety, Inquests, and Motor Crime on both a local and national level.
- Supporting specialist lawyers in areas such as environmental law, transport regulation, and public inquiries.
- Collaborating with team members while also demonstrating the ability to work independently.
- Preparing cases, conducting client conferences, taking witness statements, attending court, and collaborating with insurers and experts.
- Reviewing and organising substantial materials to prepare for evidential hearings.
- Staying updated with the latest developments in regulatory law, including legislation and case reports.
- Participating in business development efforts, including delivering training sessions, networking, and writing articles.
- Developing advocacy skills while adhering to client and internal service level agreements (SLAs).
- Contributing to a supportive team environment and continuously enhancing your own skills.
About You:
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A genuine passion for regulatory law.
- Experience in some or all of Health & Safety, Inquests, and Motor Crime.
- Strong teamwork abilities as well as the initiative to work independently.
- Familiarity with criminal practise and processes (desirable).
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- An ability to meet deadlines and targets.
