Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking an enthusiastic Operations Analyst to join their Collateral Management team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vital function within the organisation, where you'll play a key role in mitigating credit risk and ensuring efficient margin management.


About the Role:


As an Operations Analyst in Collateral Management, you will be at the forefront of managing daily margin processes, interfacing with both clients and internal stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:


  • Account Profiling: analyse and understand client accounts to ensure proper management of collateral.
  • Client Liaison: Communicate daily cash and collateral movements, providing exceptional service to clients.
  • Margin Calls: Investigate and recalculate margin calls, ensuring accuracy and compliance with documentation.
  • Risk Monitoring: Keep a close watch on margin requirements stemming from trading activities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Trading, Credit, and other internal teams to facilitate seamless operations.
  • Problem-Solving: Address client queries regarding interest calculations and resolve cash and securities investigations.
  • FX Conversions: Coordinate necessary foreign exchange conversions for clients.
  • KPI Ownership: Maintain oversight on key performance indicators, including reconciliations and collateral fails.
  • Client Review Meetings: Prepare and present reports during client meetings, showcasing your analytical insights.

  • Previous experience within a collateral management team.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively under pressure.
  • A proactive attitude towards identifying and improving operational processes.
  • A solid understanding of operational risk and internal audit frameworks.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification.
