About the Organisation


We are partnering with a rapidly expanding international organisation operating across film, media, entertainment, and creative sectors. Following recent European growth and integration of new business units, the company is strengthening its operational infrastructure across multiple locations.


The Director of IT & Workplace Operations will play a critical role in building a scalable, secure, and efficient technology and workplace environment that supports teams across e‑commerce, operations, production, creative, and corporate functions.


Role Overview


This is a strategic and hands‑on leadership role responsible for shaping and managing the company's IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, and day‑to‑day workplace operations across multiple offices.


The position oversees all aspects of IT governance, cybersecurity, systems implementation, vendor management, facilities-related support, and employee technology experience. It also plays a key role in future enterprise software integrations, organisational expansion, and operational transformation projects.


Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure & Support


  • Oversee IT operations for multiple locations, including hardware, software, networking, cybersecurity, and Help Desk services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues.
  • Manage endpoint security, backups, system documentation, and device compliance.
  • Standardise IT practices and software ecosystems to support organisational growth.
  • Oversee web and domain security, DNS/SSL management, and website infrastructure.
  • Manage and support a primarily Windows-based device environment.

Enterprise Systems & Digital Transformation


  • Lead evaluation, sourcing, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise systems (ERP, HRIS, e‑commerce platforms, project management tools).
  • Drive systems integration, workflow configuration, vendor selection, and training.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure systems support operational scalability.

Workplace & Facilities Operations


  • Ensure office readiness across all sites, including IT setup, conference room technology, and equipment maintenance.
  • Manage vendor relationships (ISPs, hardware suppliers, telecom systems).
  • Support desk planning, hybrid working setups, and facilities-related troubleshooting.
  • Oversee tech logistics for onboarding and offboarding.

Governance, Compliance & Security


  • Maintain IT policies and controls aligned with compliance standards (GDPR, SOC2, internal audit requirements, etc.).
  • Manage access controls, asset tracking, and periodic IT audits.
  • Develop data protection strategies and business continuity planning.
  • Lead content protection and anti-piracy initiatives with external partners.

Leadership, Reporting & Strategy


  • Manage budgets, procurement, and vendor contracts for both IT and workplace operations.
  • Provide regular reporting to the executive team on system performance, risks, and improvement strategies.
  • Lead technology-related initiatives during M&A activity, office expansions, and organisational transitions.
  • Support and mentor the IT & Workplace Operations team.

Candidate Profile

Essential Experience


  • 7+ years' experience across IT operations and workplace management, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Strong experience implementing and maintaining enterprise systems (ERP, HRIS, project management, e‑commerce tools).
  • Robust knowledge of Windows environments, MDM tools, cybersecurity frameworks, and modern SaaS platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, Box).
  • Proven experience managing multi‑site IT environments and office operations.
  • Strong project management, vendor negotiation, and budgeting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, creative, and entrepreneurial setting.

Desirable Experience


  • Experience supporting e‑commerce operations or technology-driven creative businesses.
  • Background in small or scaling organisations.
  • Familiarity with ISO or J‑SOX‑style compliance environments.
