Are you an experienced professional in Securities Operations with a passion for Fixed Income? Our client, a leading organisation in the Banking/Building Society industry, is seeking a Fixed Income Settlements Analyst - AVP to join their dynamic team at the Harbourside Exchange. This is a temporary position, perfect for those looking to make an immediate impact.


What You'll Do:


As a crucial member of the Securities Operations team, you will provide operational support for the exciting upcoming ECB SMBC EU AG FFT project. Your expertise will ensure the seamless execution of business-as-usual (BAU) processes and help manage the increasing complexity of trade lifecycle functions. Here's what you can expect:


Trade Lifecycle Management:

  • Execute and monitor end-to-end trade processing for Repo, Credit Bonds, and other fixed income instruments.



  • Ensure timely and accurate trade confirmations with counterparties via platforms like MarkitWire and SWIFT.



Tri-Party Management:


  • Manage tri-party repo transactions and liaise with agents like Euroclear for smooth processing.



Operational Excellence:


  • Maintain daily BAU processes, conduct reconciliations, and manage exceptions.



  • Investigate and resolve trade breaks, unmatched trades, and settlement fails.



Stakeholder Engagement:


  • Collaborate with front office, risk, compliance, and tech teams to resolve operational issues.



  • Build strong relationships with custodians and counterparties.


Who You Are:


We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with:


Education & Experience:

  • A degree and 3-5 years of experience in Securities Operations, specifically in Fixed Income Middle Office or Trade Support.



  • Hands-on experience with trade confirmation and settlement, particularly in tri-party repo processing.


Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of fixed income instruments, including repos and credit bonds.



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of settlement systems like DTCC or Euroclear is a plus.



  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.


Regulatory Acumen:

  • Familiarity with regulations impacting securities operations, such as CSDR and SFTR.
