Job Opportunity: General Counsel - Join an Exciting Global Fin Tech business.
Location: London (Hybrid)
Our client, a dynamic and innovative business in the FinTech sector, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Counsel to join their dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of legal strategy and work closely with top-tier professionals in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do:
- Support and lead the legal team, driving excellence in legal matters across the organisation.
- Provide strategic legal advice and briefings to the senior leadership team and board.
- Advise on mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions to support business growth.
- Oversee the Data protection officer and compliance matters for the business
- Coordinate, negotiate, and review commercial contracts
- Manage and update all legal process documents
Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a General Counsel or in a similar legal role within an international FinTech business.
- Experience in a private equity-backed business
- Strong commercial acumen and a proactive approach to legal challenges.
- Ability to manage relationships with senior stakeholders and external counsel
- Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate complex legal situations.
