LHH is delighted to be partnering with a well-established independent accountancy firm in Lincoln that is looking to add an experienced Accounts Senior to its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive and client-focused practice, recognised for its collaborative culture and dedication to staff development. In this key role, you'll manage a diverse client portfolio and help deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee your own client portfolio, offering consistent advice and support throughout the year, with a focus on year-end processes.
  • Develop strong, lasting relationships with owner-managed businesses, providing practical guidance on accountancy and broader business matters.
  • Prepare year-end statutory accounts for a wide variety of clients, ensuring accuracy and relevance for different industries and business sizes.
  • Review the financial statements and tax computations completed by junior colleagues, ensuring compliance with high standards and regulations.
  • Manage workflows and deadlines effectively to ensure timely, accurate service delivery while maintaining excellent client relationships.
  • Contribute to the team's technical development by providing assistance on financial reporting, taxation, and audit matters.
  • Produce corporation tax and business tax returns, addressing routine tax queries with confidence and ensuring all returns are compliant.

Requirements:


  • A fully qualified or nearly qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
  • Strong technical expertise paired with a keen commercial mindset and the ability to apply both in client-facing scenarios.
  • Highly organised, deadline-driven, and capable of managing time effectively across multiple priorities.
  • Confident using technology, with solid IT proficiency across accounting and business software.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
