A growing and forward-thinking accountancy firm with offices across the North West is looking to appoint an Audit Semi Senior or Senior to join its expanding Liverpool office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified or newly qualified auditor to gain hands-on experience, work with a broad range of clients, and progress within a supportive and collaborative environment.


You'll be part of a well-established audit team and have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as your experience develops - with a clear path to progression.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist in or lead the delivery of audit assignments from planning through to completion, depending on experience
  • Undertake audit fieldwork and testing, ensuring audits are delivered in line with agreed timelines
  • Prepare and review sections of audit files, working to professional and regulatory standards
  • Liaise directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries
  • Supervise and support junior team members on-site and in the office
  • Draft reports and supporting documentation for manager/partner review
  • Gain exposure to additional assurance work including SRA audits, grant claims, and other regulated engagements
  • Contribute to team discussions, planning meetings and risk assessments

Candidate Profile:


  • Minimum 12-24 months of external audit experience within a UK practice
  • Part-qualified, finalist or newly qualified (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
  • Strong technical knowledge of audit standards and financial reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload under pressure
  • Confident working both independently and as part of a team
  • Keen to develop professionally in a role offering long-term progression
