A growing and forward-thinking accountancy firm with offices across the North West is looking to appoint an Audit Semi Senior or Senior to join its expanding Liverpool office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified or newly qualified auditor to gain hands-on experience, work with a broad range of clients, and progress within a supportive and collaborative environment.
You'll be part of a well-established audit team and have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as your experience develops - with a clear path to progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in or lead the delivery of audit assignments from planning through to completion, depending on experience
- Undertake audit fieldwork and testing, ensuring audits are delivered in line with agreed timelines
- Prepare and review sections of audit files, working to professional and regulatory standards
- Liaise directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries
- Supervise and support junior team members on-site and in the office
- Draft reports and supporting documentation for manager/partner review
- Gain exposure to additional assurance work including SRA audits, grant claims, and other regulated engagements
- Contribute to team discussions, planning meetings and risk assessments
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 12-24 months of external audit experience within a UK practice
- Part-qualified, finalist or newly qualified (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong technical knowledge of audit standards and financial reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload under pressure
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team
- Keen to develop professionally in a role offering long-term progression
