Are you a forward-thinking Data Engineer with expertise in Data Vault 2.0? Our client, a prominent organisation in the banking industry, is seeking a talented Data Engineer to join their team on a temporary basis. As part of their team, you will be tasked with building a robust Vault 2.0 architecture on the Snowflake data platform, delivering valuable data products to both internal and end-client customers.


Please only apply of you have direct commercial experience of designing and implementing Data Vault. Candidates without this experience will not be considered.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design and implement Data Vault 2.0 architecture on the Snowflake data platform.
  • Develop and maintain hubs, links, and satellites in the Data Vault 2.0 model.
  • Build robust and scalable data pipelines to ingest and process data from various sources.
  • Implement ETL/ELT processes to ensure efficient data loading, transformation, and storage.
  • Design and build data marts to support business intelligence and analytical requirements.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver tailored data products.
  • Optimise data models, queries, and storage solutions for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in data pipelines and data warehouses.
  • Work closely with analysts and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation adhering to industry best practises and company standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Proven experience with Data Vault 2.0 methodology.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake data platform.
  • Proficiency in SQL and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Experience with data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages.
  • DBT hands-on experience would be preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
