LHH Recruitment Solutions are currently working with an expanding global business to recruit a French-speaking Financial Accountant on a 12-month fixed term contract. You will be joining the EMEA finance team and will take full ownership of financial reporting under French & US GAAP, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with SOX controls. You'll collaborate closely with a broad network of stakeholders across Europe, supporting month-end close activities, audits, and continuous process improvements.
The role offers significant flexibility, with the option to work remotely while still being part of a highly engaged and supportive team. Occasional travel to London will be required for team meetings, training, and cross-functional collaboration, giving you the chance to build strong relationships and contribute directly to regional finance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts under French GAAP and US GAAP
- Post and upload journals, including accruals, prepayments, payroll, and expenses.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts (fixed assets, VAT, intercompany, FX gains/losses).
- Review Accounts Receivable and Payable, ensuring provisions and accruals are accurate.
- Oversee bank reconciliations prepared by the Shared Service Centre.
- Manage employee expense system (CONCUR) and related accounting entries.
- Liaise with the US team to meet SEC reporting deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with SOX and internal control activities, working closely with auditors.
- Produce and submit VAT returns on time.
- Support annual financial statements, audits, budgets, forecasts, and KPIs.
- Drive process improvements and harmonisation across EMEA entities.
- Handle hire purchase agreements, loans, supplier contracts, and car leases.
Skills & Experience:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Fluent in English and French (essential).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to define and implement standardised processes.
- Hands-on, proactive approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised, accurate, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Advanced MS Office skills.
