Interim Legal Counsel

Our client, a leading Asset Management organisation operating globally, is looking for an Interim Legal Counsel to join their high-performing team. This is a temporary role with a contract length of 3 months with the view to extend, offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

As an Interim Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing proactive and commercial legal advice and assistance, ensuring effective solutions within acceptable levels of risk. You will collaborate with external counsel as needed and provide legal support for our client's EMEA and APAC fund ranges. This includes responsibility for drafting, coordinating, and managing fund prospectuses and other product documentation.

Key responsibilities:

• Drafting board memos and fund documentation such as Prospectuses, KIIDs, and shareholder notifications.
• Analysing regulations and implementing resulting changes to fund documentation.
• Advising the business on the application of regulations to products.
• Partnering with the business to gather information and manage comments from multiple stakeholders.
• Managing the governance and approval of fund documentation changes.
• Ensuring local prospectus supplements are prepared and translated as required.
• Carrying out other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Law degree with a minimum of 5 years PQE.
• Logical and methodical approach with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to proactively build relationships at all levels within the organisation.
• Financial qualifications such as IMC are desirable.
• Knowledge of ESG investing is an advantage.
• Ability to manage external legal advisers when necessary.
