LHH are pleased to be supporting a leading multi-disciplinary construction and property company with a purpose-driven culture in their search for an experienced Legal Counsel. Following sustained growth, attributed to their unique business model, they are now seeking to add to the in-house team with this key appointment.


Reporting directly to the Group Solicitor, this role will offer you the opportunity to provide legal support across the Group's Facilities Management (FM) division, with a focus on general commercial contracts. Additionally, you will have the chance to develop expertise in construction law, with a particular focus on NEC agreements.


Key responsibilities will include:



  • Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of commercial contracts, particularly within the FM business.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including service agreements, supply contracts, and subcontractor agreements.
  • Assist the Group Solicitor in advising on construction matters, particularly NEC contracts.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure legal risks are managed appropriately and to support business operations.
  • Provide input on compliance, governance, and risk management to ensure alignment with company policies and legal requirements.

Key requirements:


  • Qualified solicitor (UK) with 2-5 years' PQE.
  • Experience in commercial law, ideally within the construction or FM sectors.
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts is desirable, but not essential-training and development opportunities will be provided.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across various departments.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while being a team player within an experienced legal team.

In terms of working arrangements, our client are offer some remote working. The remuneration package for this role is commensurate with market rate, with a comprehensive benefits and a supportive working environment.
