As the Finance Manager, you will oversee financial management and reporting, ensuring robust financial control and providing commercial insights that support key decision-making across the organisation. This is a permanent position with an attractive annual salary ranging from £55,000 to £60,000.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Control & Reporting:
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial models.
- Monitor financial performance against budget, offering clear analysis and commentary.
- Maintain strong financial controls ensuring data integrity.
Costing & Manufacturing Finance:
- Manage product costing
- Analyse yields, waste, and labour efficiency to support operational decision-making.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Cash Flow, Stock & Working Capital:
- Oversee cash flow forecasting and daily cash management.
- Ensure effective debtor and creditor management.
- Support improvements in stock control and working capital efficiency.
Team Leadership & People Management:
- Lead, manage, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Set objectives and support team members' personal development.
Business Partnering & Commercial Support:
- Act as a trusted finance partner to senior management, providing financial insights for investment appraisals and new product development.
What We're Looking For:
Essential Skills:
Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role, ideally within manufacturing
Strong management accounting, costing, and margin knowledge.
Proficient in Excel and financial analysis.
Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
