The Adecco Group’s Commitment to Support the Armed Forces Community and Their Families

At the Adecco Group, we recognise the value that serving personnel, reservists, veterans, and military families bring to our business, our clients’ businesses, and the country.

As such, LHH’s parent company, the Adecco Group, is proud to have signed the Armed Forces Covenant – a promise that no member of the armed forces community should face disadvantage compared to any other citizen.

Speaking about this defining moment, Jonathan Firth, Vice President of LHH UK, said:

"At LHH, we understand the unique skills, resilience, and perspectives that veterans, reservists, and military families bring to the workforce. Signing the Armed Forces Covenant reaffirms our commitment to supporting them at every stage of their career journey. Whether they are transitioning to civilian roles or balancing military and family commitments, we are here to ensure they thrive. This pledge reflects our dedication to fostering a workplace where all talents are recognised and valued."

LHH, as part of the Adecco Group, will seek to uphold the principles of the Covenant by:

  • Introducing an Armed Forces Champion to help promote the fact that we are an Armed Forces-friendly organisation to our staff, customers, suppliers, and the public.
  • Creating a training module on transferrable skills to aid in recognising military skills and qualifications and supporting the employment of veterans and service leavers.
  • Providing flexibility in granting leave around deployment to support the employment of service spouses and partners.
  • Providing a buddy system for reservists and veterans to support our employees who are members of the Reserve Forces.
  • Granting additional leave for members of the Reserve Forces and volunteer cadet organisation leaders to attend training and other commitments.
  • Encouraging members of staff to become Reservists and volunteer leaders in cadet organisations.
  • Supporting national events such as Armed Forces Day, Reserves Day, the Poppy Appeal Day, and Remembrance activities.
  • Supporting staff who volunteer for Armed Forces Charities and acknowledging them through our Changemakers Circle.

By signing this covenant, LHH, part of the Adecco Group are committed to building a workplace culture that champions the armed forces community and the incredible contributions they bring. Together, we can continue making a positive impact, ensuring that veterans, reservists, and military families receive the opportunities and recognition they deserve.
