AP Clerk

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a company in Albuquerque who is in search of a temporary AP clerk. This role is fully in office, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, and is expected to last 3-5 months. The hourly rate is up to $23/hr.


In this role, you will be responsible for processing invoices, handling payment transactions, and assisting with various AP-related tasks. If you’re looking to contribute to a dynamic team and bring your skills to a supportive environment, I would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
  • Process and verify invoices for payment in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Enter invoices and payment information into accounting software (Sage Intacct preferred).
  • Prepare and process vendor payments, including checks and electronic transfers.
  • Assist with reconciling accounts payable transactions and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain vendor records and ensure all details are up to date.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any issues regarding payments.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts payable.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree or higher in Accounting or related field preferred).
  • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
  • Sage Intacct experience is preferred for invoice and payment processing.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Positive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities.
