As an Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialist you will be esponsible for managing the invoicing and payment processes for customers and vendors. This role involves maintaining accurate records of accounts, ensuring timely payments, and reconciling financial documents. The specialist will work closely with the Accounting Manager to provide updates on aged accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
Responsibilities
Invoicing customers and receiving payments.
Contacting customers’, A/P departments regarding past due payments.
Keeping records of collections and account statuses.
Meeting regularly with the Accounting Manager to update on aged A/R.
Reviewing invoices and associated purchase orders for accuracy.
Experience with international wire transfers as the customer handles a lot of international work
Entering payables into the accounting system for payment preparation.
Reconciling the credit card account and entering charges into the accounting system.
Completing the check runs as determined by the Accounting Manager.
Preparing bank deposits for electronic or manual delivery to the bank.
Maintaining accessible filing for all customers and vendors.
Ensuring A/P invoices are accurate and match corresponding purchase orders.
Timely entry of payables and receivables into the accounting system.
Performing various reconciliations as determined by the Accounting Manager.
Processing payments and invoices, ensuring accuracy.
Responding to inquiries from vendors and customers regarding billing and account information.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelors’ Degree / Associated Degree strongly preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent - must have strong experience
2+ years of experience in a bookkeeping AR and/or AP role.
Strong working knowledge in Excel, experience in Epicor would be fantastic, but not mandatory
Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and customer service skills.
