PeopleSoft Integration Developer


Location: Remote BUT YOU MUST LIVE IN CALIFORNIA TO BE CONSIDERED!!! Duration: 6-12 Months Industry: Higher Education


LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an expert-level PeopleSoft Integration Developer for our client, a leading institution in the higher education sector. This contract role offers the opportunity to develop and optimize real-time and batch integrations within the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PeopleSoft Integration Broker, REST/SOAP web services, and enterprise application integration. Experience with Boomi or other middleware platforms is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

PeopleSoft Integration Development



  • Design, develop, and maintain real-time and batch integrations between PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and external applications.


  • Configure and manage PeopleSoft Integration Broker, including Service Operations, Message Queues, and Handlers.


  • Develop and consume RESTful and SOAP-based web services within PeopleSoft.


  • Utilize PeopleCode and Application Engine to build efficient integrations.


  • Implement error handling, logging, and monitoring to ensure system reliability.

PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Expertise



  • Work with core Campus Solutions modules, including Admissions & Recruitment, Student Records, Financial Aid, Student Financials, and Campus Community.


  • Design and implement API-based integrations to support seamless student and faculty services.


  • Partner with functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable integration solutions.

Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting



  • Diagnose and resolve integration failures, web service errors, and message queue bottlenecks.


  • Optimize SQL queries, PeopleCode scripts, and Application Engine programs to enhance performance.


  • Implement best practices for error handling, retry mechanisms, and data validation.


  • Provide production support for critical integrations.

Security, Compliance, & Documentation



  • Implement OAuth, SSL, and API authentication mechanisms for secure data exchange.


  • Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory data protection policies.


  • Maintain detailed technical documentation for integration design and troubleshooting.

Preferred Experience (Not Required):



  • Experience designing integrations using Dell Boomi or other middleware platforms.


  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) for integration-related patches.


  • Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for hosting integrations.


  • Experience integrating PeopleSoft with ERP, CRM, IAM, or Cloud Applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • 10+ years of PeopleSoft development experience, with a focus on Integration Broker and Campus Solutions (CS 9.2).


  • Expertise in PeopleSoft Integration Broker, including Service Operations, Routing, and Handlers.


  • Strong proficiency in PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, XML, and JSON.


  • Hands-on experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and database performance tuning.


  • Experience implementing OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSL, and API authentication protocols.


  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.


  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, DBAs, and Project Managers.


  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
