LHH is partnering with a long-time client to find an experienced IT Infrastructure Specialist to join their team in Camarillo, CA!
Responsibilities:
Set up, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN), data communication networks, operating systems, and both physical and virtual servers.
Oversee IT infrastructure management across Windows and Linux platforms.
Conduct system monitoring to ensure hardware, network, and server resources are functioning properly.
Review system and application logs, ensuring scheduled jobs, including backups, are completed.
Manage Windows Active Directory environments and policies.
Analyze network and server resource usage and manage user access.
Install and upgrade software, maintaining software licenses.
Assist with network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communication hardware and software.
Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect data and system integrity.
Perform regular system updates and patching to keep IT infrastructure secure and up-to-date.
Participate in light software development and testing to support IT operations.
Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
Develop and maintain system documentation for efficient operation and troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
3 to 10 years of experience in system administration.
BS or BA degree in a Computer or Information Science field
Mid-level expertise in system administration with 3-5 years of experience.
Strong understanding of network components, such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
Proficiency in Windows and Linux platforms.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices with DoD guidelines.
Familiarity with system patching and updating procedures.
Light software development and testing skills, preferably with Cypress and Jest, 1-2 years of experience.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Linux Professional Institute Certification) would be a plus.
Must have Top Secret Security Clearnace!
