LHH is recruiting a Construction Billing Specialist on behalf of a leading construction company known for its high-quality contracting services. This company has a strong presence and a commitment to excellence and innovation in the construction industry.
Job Description: Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Construction Billing Specialist to join their team on a contract to hire basis. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in billing within the construction industry and will thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and issue invoices to clients accurately and in a timely manner for various projects
Review and verify billing data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve any issues with clients.
Maintain detailed records of all billing transactions.
Coordinate with project managers and other departments to gather necessary billing information.
Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing reports and reconciling accounts.
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments.
Prepare and analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Participate in various projects as needed to support the billing department.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Knowledge of lien releases and lien waivers
Experience with construction software
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
