LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a reputable construction and development company in Chandler, AZ, to hire an experienced Accounting Specialist. This position plays a key role in supporting daily accounting operations, focusing on project billing, payables, and vendor management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process project billing, including creating and submitting preliminary notices and lien waivers.
 - Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
 - Code and process vendor invoices, matching POs and verifying approval before payment.
 - Maintain and update vendor files, including W-9s, 1099 reporting, and Certificates of Insurance (COIs).
 - Reconcile project accounts and assist with month-end close.
 - Collaborate with project managers and external vendors to ensure accurate billing and payment documentation.
 - Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
 - Support the accounting team with audits, reporting, and process improvements as needed.
 
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in construction or project-based industries.
 - Proficient with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Viewpoint).
 - Strong understanding of lien waivers, preliminary notices, and vendor compliance requirements.
 - Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills.
 - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
 
Pay Details: $65,000.00 per year
