Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite – near Chinatown)
Pay: $23/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Standard business hours
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented HR Administrator to support day-to-day human resources operations for a growing organization near Chicago’s Chinatown area. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity ideal for someone who can start immediately and is interested in long-term growth within HR.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support across HR functions, including onboarding and employee records

  • Assist with new hire paperwork, background checks, and I?9 documentation

  • Maintain accurate employee files and HR data in internal systems

  • Support payroll and benefits administration by preparing and verifying employee information

  • Respond to employee questions and route inquiries appropriately

  • Assist with compliance tracking, audits, and HR reporting

  • Support HR team with general administrative tasks and special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in an HR Administrative, HR Coordinator, or related role

  • Working knowledge of HR processes such as onboarding, employee documentation, and payroll support

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally

  • Must be available to start ASAP
