A Payroll Specialist job is now open located in Chicago, IL. You will be sitting in the powerhouse payroll division processing multi-state payroll. The ideal candidate will be an excellent multi-tasker, possess exceptional communication skills, and be able handle confidential and sensitive material appropriately. To qualify, you must have at least 3 years of payroll experience and strong technology skills. This is a long-term temporary assignment that will be onsite in Chicago, IL. Payroll Specialist Job Responsibilities
  • Process multi-state payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Review and verify payroll data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee inquiries.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure smooth payroll operations.
  • Generate payroll reports as needed.
Qualifications
  • At least 3years of payroll experience required (multi-state experience a plus).
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or HR preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems is required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • High level of organization and a sharp attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team focused environment.
