We are partnering with a leading organization to bring on a Senior Revenue Accountant who can hit the ground running.
What you’ll do
Drive core month‑end close deliverables: revenue journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis for complex, multi‑element arrangements.
Apply ASC 606 (performance obligations, contract assets/liabilities, variable consideration) and support lease‑related touchpoints under ASC 842.
Strengthen and document SOX controls for revenue and billing in an audit‑ready environment.
Review usage/billing data, resolve anomalies, and partner with billing/operations to prevent repeat issues.
Prepare ad‑hoc revenue analytics and reporting for finance leadership and external auditors.
Collaborate cross‑functionally (Sales Ops, FP&A, Deal Desk, IT) to evaluate non‑standard terms and their revenue impact.
Contribute to ERP/system improvements and close acceleration initiatives.
Must‑have qualifications
Hands‑on SOX controls experience aligned to revenue.
Deep working knowledge of ASC 606 with familiarity in ASC 842.
Systems: NetSuite (highly preferred); SAP exposure is a plus.
Advanced Excel; comfort with large data sets and complex reconciliations.
5+ years of progressive accounting with a revenue/technical accounting focus.
Clear, concise communicator who can influence stakeholders and meet tight deadlines.
Nice to have
Experience in software, cloud, hosting, or data‑center models (subscriptions, usage‑based billing).
Prior ERP enhancements or revenue automation project work.
Pay Details: $40.00 to $48.00 per hour
