Project Services Technical Lead

LHH Recruitment Solutions has a Project and Services Technical Lead Engineer for our client in the Dayton, NJ area. This direct hire role focuses on you being a technical Lead handling numerous residential and corporate customers in person! This position requires you to act as an engineering liaison that will coordinate with departmental resources to ensure every customer aspect is handled impeccably. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in dealing with home automation systems, RS485 knowledge and programming experience in systems such as Crestron, Control4 or Savant is ideal. Successful candidates will also have low voltage as well as networking experience in port management, IP management, etc. We are seeking a project manager professional with technician field experience in home automation.

This position will also require approximately 30% travel between the United States and Canada - eligible candidates must be able and willing to obtain a passport for such travels.

Salary range: $80,000 to $90,000 DOE.

Responsibilities:

Administer as a professional representative of the organization as a technical lead involving residential and corporate customers.

Take the initiative as the engineering intermediary to coordinate with internal departments to ensure all aspects of the customer experience is handled promptly and professionally.

Provide technical support as needed to installers and projects mangers over the phone or remote log in as well as on-site.

Perform on-site commissioning services.

Work as a mediator between any departments involved with the customer order (e.g., sales, manufacturing, shipping).

Oversee testing and any needed validation of new products, firmware and/or integrations.

Requirements:

2-year vocation/trade school certificate or equivalent experience.

Proven experience in RS485.

5 years industry experience related to low voltage installation with home automation installations.

CAD systems knowledge/experience a plus.

Proven experience in utilizing systems such as Crestron, Control4 or Savant required.

Proven ability to promote an organization professionally in person and written.

Networking experience with basic routers, IP management, port management, switch architecture, etc. required.

Must be well versed in troubleshooting automation systems, ports, low voltage systems, etc.

Expertise with MS Office (E.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $80,000 to $90,000 DOE and benefits may include medical, dental, vision, 401k+match and PTO.
