The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations during the second shift within a food manufacturing environment. This role ensures accurate, efficient, and compliant handling of goods while leading warehouse staff and forklift operators. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, highly organized, and experienced in food safety and warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule, coordinate, and supervise all shipping and receiving activities, including warehouse staff and forklift operators.

  • Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation.

  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing contents with manifests, invoices, and purchase orders.

  • Inspect incoming freight for damage and coordinate with purchasing or vendors to resolve discrepancies.

  • Prepare and review shipping documents, including bills of lading, work orders, and shipping records.

  • Record and maintain shipment data such as weights, charges, damages, and discrepancies for reporting and compliance purposes.

  • Ensure all shipments are properly sorted, logged, packed, and shipped according to company standards.

  • Audit shipments prior to packing to confirm product accuracy and order fulfillment.

  • Enforce food safety regulations and warehouse compliance standards (GMP, HACCP, FDA).

  • Train, coach, and supervise warehouse employees; serve as a certified trainer for forklift operators.

  • Promote and enforce a safe working environment, including proper equipment use and safety procedures.

  • Improve warehouse processes through strategic planning to increase efficiency and productivity.

  • Assist in planning warehouse layout, inventory control systems, and process flow optimization.

  • Evaluate and support supply chain solutions for new and existing operations.

  • Lead and participate in special projects related to warehouse operations and logistics improvements.

  • Communicate effectively with team members, leadership, and cross-functional departments in both English and Spanish.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 3–5 years of warehouse experience, preferably in food manufacturing or distribution.

  • 1–2 years of supervisory experience required.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).

  • Forklift certification required; trainer certification strongly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of shipping/receiving processes, inventory control, and warehouse systems.

  • Familiarity with food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, FDA regulations).

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Basic to intermediate computer skills (WMS, ERP systems, Microsoft Office).
