We’re looking for a Accounts Receivable / Collections Lead to join a high-performing finance team within a large, process-driven organization. This is a hybrid role near Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role requires someone who thrives in a complex environment, can manage a high-volume AR portfolio, and brings both strategic insight and hands-on execution to the collections process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage a diverse portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely collections while maintaining strong customer relationships.

  • Conduct detailed account reviews, resolve discrepancies, and lead efforts to streamline collection workflows.

  • Utilize multiple ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and tools to manage billing, credit memos, payment application, and reconciliations.

  • Mentor and support junior AR team members, providing training and escalation support as needed.

  • Analyze aging reports and prepare AR status summaries for leadership.

  • Act as a liaison between internal teams—Sales, Customer Service, and Billing—to resolve complex account issues.

  • Participate in month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and reporting.

  • Proactively identify trends in payment behavior and contribute to credit policy and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable and Collections, preferably within a mid-to-large size organization.

  • Advanced proficiency with AR systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, JD Edwards).

  • Excellent Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and strong documentation practices.

  • Proven ability to manage complex accounts and negotiate with professionalism.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and process improvement orientation.



Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $58,000.00 per year
