Payroll/Accounting Coordinator

Location: Irvine

Legal Industry – Direct Hire

Compensation: $55,000 – $75,000 (based on experience)

Open to candidates who are experienced payroll professional with some accounting experience

A well-established law firm is seeking an Accounting & Payroll Coordinator to support both payroll administration and core accounting functions. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented and organized, who can balance multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. The position is full-time and requires working onsite four days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Maintain employee records, including new hires, terminations, and compensation adjustments.

  • Review and verify timesheets, resolving discrepancies as needed.

  • Provide support with benefits administration, including employee enrollments, updates, and inquiries.

  • Assist the accounting team with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing functions.

  • Prepare invoices, monitor collections, and handle vendor communications.

  • Support billing processes, including prebills, adjustments, and reporting.

  • Respond to accounting and payroll-related inquiries professionally and promptly.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of payroll experience (ADP Workforce Now experience a plus).

  • At least 2 years of general accounting experience, including A/P and A/R.

  • Prior law firm billing experience preferred.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality while working with all levels of staff.



Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
