Union Payroll Clerk

LHH is looking for a full-time Union Payroll Clerk to join our client-growing company in Kent, WA. This position will be a contract-to-hire position that is fully onsite at the client location.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Reconcile hours for Service and Construction technicians by verifying timesheets with system reports, tech-submitted screenshots, and GPS tracking data.
Investigate discrepancies by communicating with technicians and management.
Process labor adjustments based on technician or billing requests.
Enter additional labor adjustments in the system for Service and Construction teams, as needed.
Review system reports post-adjustments to ensure payroll accuracy.
Enter technician hours into the verification spreadsheet on a weekly basis.
Manage payroll calculations and check-cutting processes.
Submit payroll and payroll taxes to the bank.
Adjust garnishment amounts as necessary, prepare related checks/reports, and distribute them accordingly.
Track and record on-call time for Service technicians.
Process job cost transfer adjustments.
Set up new union employees in the system, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and complete.
Handle monthly Union reporting for benefit trusts.
Support union audits and compile necessary data.
Update union rates as needed.
Prepare and submit Certified Payroll and Work Recovery reports.
Maintain weekly employee count records.
Stay informed on union collective bargaining agreements with the locals we work with.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience with payroll in the construction industry.
Familiarity with union payroll processes, particularly for service-based roles.
GPS tracking experience.

Experience:
5 years in construction payroll (preferred)
3 years in union payroll (preferred)
2 years in Microsoft Excel (preferred)
Shift Availability: Day Shift (required)
Work Location: In person.
Compensation: $30-$32/hour DOE
