Schedule: Onsite, Monday–Friday

About the Role
Our client in Knoxville is seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join their team in a fully onsite role. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, familiar with insurance billing processes, and thrives in a fast‑paced healthcare environment. The Medical Biller will support revenue cycle functions, ensure accurate claim processing, and help maintain strong reimbursement workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and submit medical claims to insurance carriers
Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve discrepancies
Post payments, adjustments, and reconcile account balances
Verify patient insurance coverage and update billing information
Communicate with insurance companies, providers, and patients regarding billing questions
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and industry regulations
Support the revenue cycle team with special projects as needed
Qualifications
1–2+ years of Medical Billing experience required
Knowledge of CPT, ICD‑10, and insurance billing guidelines
Experience with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athena, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work onsite in Knoxville, TN
