About the Role

Our client in Knoxville is seeking a reliable and customer‑focused Appointment Scheduler to join their team onsite. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with patients, has strong communication skills, and can manage scheduling with accuracy and professionalism. The Appointment Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, verifying information, and supporting clinic workflow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls and schedule patient appointments

  • Verify and update patient information in the system

  • Provide exceptional customer service while addressing patient questions

  • Coordinate schedules with providers and clinical staff

  • Follow office protocols to ensure accurate appointment booking

  • Manage appointment reminders, cancellations, and rescheduling

  • Support front office operations as needed

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of medical scheduling, patient access, or healthcare customer service experience

  • Strong verbal communication and phone etiquette

  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems is preferred

  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills

  • Ability to work onsite in Knoxville, TN
