Legal Secretary – Bankruptcy and Commercial Litigation
LHH is partnering with a well‑established law firm to identify an experienced Legal Secretary to support its bankruptcy and commercial litigation practice. This individual will play a key role in ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations within a highly collaborative legal team, working closely with attorneys to deliver high‑quality client service.
Role Overview
The Legal Secretary will provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support, including document preparation, court filings, calendaring, and coordination of attorney workflows. This position works onsite five days per week for the first six months, transitioning to four days onsite and one remote day thereafter.

Core Responsibilities
• Draft, format, and proofread correspondence, briefs, and legal documents
- Prepare and electronically file documents with state, federal, and bankruptcy courts
- Maintain attorney calendars using Outlook and the firm’s docketing system
- Prepare engagement letters and new file opening memos
- Track deadlines, schedule appointments, and manage court‑related calendaring
- Coordinate meetings, conference calls, and related logistics
- Process expense reimbursements and ensure timely vendor invoice review and submissions
- Provide backup support to attorneys and staff as needed and assist with overflow work
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and communication
Compensation and Benefits Snapshot
• Annual base salary: $90,000 to $100,000 (based on experience, skills, and location)

Candidate Requirements
• Minimum of five years of experience as a Legal Secretary
- Strong proficiency with PACER, ECF, iManage or other DMS, Aderant, Litera, and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of legal terminology and litigation processes, including TOC and TOA preparation
- High school diploma required
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Excellent communication and proofreading abilities
