LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered up with an excellent company in the Melville, NY area to assist with hiring a Financial/Accounting Associate with Coupa Experience!

This is a Project based position and can start immediately! (at least 6 months). Coupa is a Must!

This is a Hybrid role so must be commutable to Melville, Long Island 3 days a week.

We’re looking for a hands‑on Coupa specialist who can immediately step in to stabilize and manage daily invoice processing while also serving as the functional expert for an upcoming integration between our internal platform and Coupa. This consultant will take ownership of invoice ingestion workflows, strengthen data quality controls, and become the go‑to resource for all Coupa‑related operational and integration questions. Once day‑to‑day processing is running smoothly, the role will shift toward shaping and validating the integration design in partnership with AP/Finance and IT.


Primary Responsibilities

1) Daily Invoice Processing & Operational Ownership

  • Execute and oversee daily invoice imports, ensuring batches are uploaded correctly and monitoring successful vs. failed transactions.

  • Review incoming invoice data for completeness and accuracy—supplier details, PO/contract alignment, tax, coding, tolerance checks—and quickly resolve discrepancies.

  • Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot formatting errors, missing fields, duplicates, and rejected submissions.

  • Implement and maintain alerting/monitoring mechanisms for failed files (e.g., email triggers, exception dashboards).

  • Build and maintain SOPs, job aids, and an operational runbook, including a repeatable process for handling outages and month‑end close cycles.



Required Qualifications

  • Hands‑on experience with Coupa Invoicing or full P2P modules—must be more than exposure.

  • Background managing high‑volume invoice ingestion, with strong troubleshooting, reconciliation, and pattern‑recognition skills.

  • Experience supporting integrations using one or more of the following:

    • Coupa Core (Invoice endpoints)

    • Supplier‑side invoice transmission methods, including cXML

  • Strong documentation capabilities—able to translate processes into clear SOPs, runbooks, and workflows.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams in AP, Finance, and IT.


Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with AP automation, 2‑way/3‑way matching, and tolerance configuration.

  • Experience with sFTP workflows and batch file management for invoice ingestion.

  • Consulting or implementation‑partner background, especially in environments undergoing integration or process transformation
