Dry Utilities Project Coordinator

Position Overview

LHH Recruiting is seeking a Dry Utilities Project Coordinator for our client in Mesa, AZ on a direct hire basis. In this role you will support residential and commercial development projects by managing coordination for electric, gas, and telecom utilities. This role requires prior dry utility experience within a construction, engineering, architecture, or development environment and comfort tracking billable hours across multiple active projects.

The team currently supports 40+ active projects, offering long-term stability and consistent workload.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review site plans, construction drawings, and contracts to determine dry utility needs

  • Coordinate with utility providers (electric, gas, telecom/cable/fiber) to obtain service letters, maps, designs, quotes, and approvals

  • Prepare and submit utility applications and supporting documentation

  • Track utility design, permitting, and approvals to meet project schedules

  • Identify infrastructure requirements, fees, and utility layouts

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other internal teams

  • Maintain accurate documentation and utility records

  • Provide regular project status updates and reporting

  • Accurately complete timecards and track billable hours


Required Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in dry utility coordination, project coordination, civil engineering, or land development

  • Hands-on experience with electric, gas, and telecom utilities

  • Background with a construction company, engineering firm, architecture firm, or developer

  • Strong job stability and long-term project experience

  • Ability to read and interpret civil site plans and utility drawings

  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines

  • Familiarity with utility permitting and local regulations

  • Bluebeam experience preferred

  • Valid driver’s license and insurance



Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
