LHH is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Construction Project Manager for our client in Middlesex County, NJ. To oversee complex construction projects from bid initiation to final client acceptance. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership, and meticulous project coordination to ensure successful project completion within budget and on schedule. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, possess excellent organizational and communication skills, and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, with comprehensive sequencing of construction activities.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including owners, architects, and engineers, to ensure seamless project progress.
- Lead construction meetings, record minutes, and manage follow-up actions.
- Oversee cost control functions, including contract management, change orders, and financial reporting.
- Maintain rigorous safety standards in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Manage submittal processes, including tracking, reviewing, and reporting.
- Submit, track, and address Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely material and service delivery.
- Evaluate and approve subcontractor progress requisitions.
- Guide and direct project superintendents and assistant project managers toward achieving project goals.
- Manage and track punch list completion, project commissioning, and the final turnover package.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Construction Management, Civil, or Mechanical preferred).
- 5-15 years of project management experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, Sage 300 CRE, and Microsoft Office.
- OSHA certification required.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Professionalism and integrity in conduct and interaction with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
