Standards & Practices Associate / Ad Review Specialist
📍 New York, NY 10013
💰 $28.00 – $31.00/hour (based on experience)
🕒 Full-Time | Hybrid (In Office Mon–Thurs, Remote Fridays)
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Standards & Practices Associate to support the review and compliance of advertising content across multiple platforms. This role is responsible for evaluating advertising materials to ensure accuracy, truthfulness, and adherence to internal policies and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Advertising Review & Compliance
Review advertising content at various stages of development to ensure accuracy, truthfulness, and compliance with internal policies and industry regulations
Identify express and implied claims within advertisements and evaluate supporting documentation
Assess substantiation materials including clinical studies, market research, product testing data, and statistical analyses
Ensure advertising aligns with standards related to taste, appropriateness, and current social context
Research & Analysis
Conduct in-depth research to support advertising claims and regulatory compliance
Apply knowledge of FTC, FCC, FDA, and other relevant guidelines to evaluate content
Identify potential risks and compliance issues with strong attention to detail
Documentation & Record Management
Maintain accurate and thorough records of all reviews, communications, and supporting documentation
Manage and organize high volumes of content and historical records for retrieval and audit purposes
Track decisions and maintain consistency across reviews
Collaboration & Communication
Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to provide guidance and feedback on advertising content
Communicate findings clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
Support a collaborative and solutions-oriented review process
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required
1 or more years of experience in a role requiring marketing regulations support or advertisement review
Strong research, critical thinking, and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage a high volume of assignments in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with advertising or marketing laws and regulations (FTC, FCC, FDA)
Background in clinical research, product testing, market research, or statistical analysis
Experience in advertising standards, broadcast, or media production
Industry exposure to pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, political advertising, or gaming
Strong issue-spotting abilities and attention to detail
Pay Details: $28.00 to $31.00 per hour
