LHH is actively seeking an experienced Benefits and Wellness Specialist to support the administration and delivery of employee benefits, retirement, work-life, and wellness programs across the Americas, including the U.S., Bermuda, and Canada for one of our top clients! This role plays a key part in ensuring employees understand and maximize the value of their benefits while driving operational excellence and supporting global initiatives in a dynamic, matrixed environment. This will be a 100% remote long term contract opportunity with our client!
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day benefits operations throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, transfers, and terminations.
Administer benefits billing and invoicing; maintain accurate data in HRIS (Workday) and SharePoint systems.
Serve as the primary contact for employee benefits inquiries, providing responsive, high-quality support.
Support the administration of leaves of absence, disability, and workplace accommodation processes in compliance with state, federal, and company policies.
Develop and deliver engaging communications and educational materials to promote benefits and wellness programs.
Contribute to the enhancement of benefits governance frameworks and operational efficiency initiatives.
Partner with Finance and Payroll to reconcile benefits costs, identify budget trends, and manage vendor payments.
Ensure compliance with applicable benefits regulations, including 5500 filings, ACA (1095) reporting, and nondiscrimination testing.
Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and internal partners to optimize service delivery and the employee experience.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of recent professional experience administering U.S. employee benefits and wellness programs.
Working knowledge of health, wellness, and retirement plans, including regulatory and compliance requirements.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information (HIPAA compliance required).
Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed, and high-performing environment.
Preferred:
5+ years of progressive benefits and wellness administration experience.
Experience supporting benefits programs in the Americas (U.S., Bermuda, Canada).
Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver results under tight deadlines.
Demonstrated experience with Workday or similar HRIS systems.
Proven ability to manage vendor and broker relationships effectively.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and influence decision-making.
Pay Details: $41.87 to $47.85 per hour
