LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Payroll Implementation Consultant who will be responsible for leading and supporting the end-to-end implementation of payroll systems. This role partners closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate system configuration, data integrity, compliance, and a smooth transition to new payroll platforms. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Workday and/or other payroll systems and a strong understanding of payroll processes.
Responsibilities:
Lead payroll system implementations from project kickoff through go-live and post?implementation support
Gather and document client payroll requirements, business processes, and compliance needs
Configure payroll systems (Workday and/or other platforms) to align with client specifications
Manage payroll data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities
Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and third-party vendors throughout the implementation lifecycle
Develop and execute testing plans, including parallel payroll testing and issue resolution
Provide client training, documentation, and ongoing implementation support
Identify risks, track project milestones, and ensure deadlines are met
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field
3+ years of experience in payroll implementation, payroll operations, or payroll consulting
Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll strongly preferred; experience with other payroll systems (ADP, UKG, Ceridian, Paychex, etc.) acceptable
Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax reporting, and wage and hour compliance
Experience with system configuration, data conversion, and payroll testing
Excellent communication, documentation, and client-facing skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Hours:
9:00am-5:00pm
Monday through Friday
