About the Role
The Patient Care Coordinator supports critical operational functions within a specialty pharmacy environment. This position focuses heavily on data entry, customer service, and account accuracy, ensuring that patients, caregivers, and healthcare partners receive timely and accurate support.
You will be responsible for creating and updating patient accounts, processing information received from medical billers, and assisting various internal teams during high-volume periods.
Key Responsibilities
Perform accurate, high-volume data entry across multiple systems.
Create and maintain patient accounts, cases, and documentation.
Update account information based on details provided by medical billers.
Provide customer service support for overflow from other teams.
Assist patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers with inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
Utilize Microsoft Office, email, web-based applications, and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).
Demonstrate strong judgment and decision-making when assisting individuals with urgent needs.
Training Schedule
Day 1: 8:30 AM–3:30 PM (1-hour paid lunch)
Days 2–3: 8:30 AM–4:30 PM (1-hour paid lunch)
Day 4+ (approx. 2 weeks): 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Required Qualifications
Strong and accurate data entry skills.
Prior experience in Specialty Pharmacy or Customer Service (preferred, not required).
Proficiency with computers: Microsoft Office, email, web-based platforms, and typing/keyboarding.
Experience assisting individuals in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations (phone or face-to-face).
Strong multi-tasking and time management abilities.
Dependability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
Ability to receive and act on feedback in a positive, growth-oriented manner.
Preferred Experience
Experience working with databases or CRM tools, especially Salesforce.
Background in healthcare or pharmaceutical settings.
Understanding of challenges patients face related to medical conditions and navigating their care.
Interview Requirements
All interviews conducted via Microsoft Teams.
Candidates must have Teams downloaded and tested prior to interview.
Cameras must remain on during the interview.
