LHH is seeking a RECRUITER for a contract-to-hire position in Pasadena, TX.


Position: Recruiter Type: Contract-to-Hire Location: 100% onsite (Pasadena, TX 77507) Pay Range: $33.65-36.05/hr DOE ($70-75K annually) Work Schedule: M-F, 7:30-4 or 8-4:30



SUMMARY:

The Recruiter plays an integral role in researching, developing, and implementing effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. The Recruiter drives the entire recruiting and onboarding process from requisition creation, job posting, reviewing resumes, short-listing candidates, setting up interviews, and sending offer letters.



RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process.


  • Collaborate with department managers (in admin building and in plant) to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.


  • Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives.


  • Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.


  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards, newspapers, colleges, or through specialized recruiters.


  • Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; and maintaining rapport.


  • Screen applications and select qualified candidates.


  • Schedule interviews, work with hiring managers to prepare appropriate interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.


  • Coordinate travel logistics for out-of-town candidates.


  • Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.


  • Collaborate with the hiring manager and Sr. HR Manager during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.


  • Update candidates through the pre-employment testing, background checks, drug screens, and training.


  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.


  • Attend and participate in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.


  • Develop, manage, and maintain a viable intern program.


  • Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to Sr. HR Manager.


  • Maintain job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.


  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.


  • Promote the company’s reputation as the “best place to work.”



REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES:



  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.


  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.


  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.


  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, or related software.


  • Dependability - Meets deadlines, works independently, accountable, maintains focus, punctual, good attendance record.


  • Technical Skills - Maintains current understanding of technical processes/equipment, uses technology to increase performance/productivity.


  • Safety – HSSE - Works in a safe manner, uses PPE, recognizes hazards, makes safety suggestions and observations, current on Training Mine.



QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



  • At least 5 years of proven work experience as a Recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter) managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process.


  • Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based, stress, etc.).


  • Hands-on experience with various selection processes (video interviewing, phone interviewing, reference checks, etc.).


  • Familiarity with UKG recruiting module (preferred), HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Candidate Management Systems (CMS).


  • Hands-on experience with recruiting software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) or Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS).



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:



  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.


  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.
