LHH has partnered with their client to help fill the role of Payroll Specialist. The role of a Payroll Specialist involves a range of tasks related to ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements. Here are some of the key responsibilities of a payroll specialist: Responsibilities include:
  • Calculate the wages and salaries for employees
  • Handle deductions for taxes and other benefits as required by law or company policy.
  • Timekeeping and Attendance: Monitoring employee attendance and accurately recording hours worked, vacation days taken, sick leave, and other time-related information.
  • Entering payroll-related data into payroll systems or software accurately and promptly.
  • Managing the payroll process
  • Generating various payroll reports for auditing purposes.
  • Communicating with employees regarding other payroll-related inquiries.
  • Participating in internal and external audits of payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, tax regulations, and any other legal requirements related to payroll processing.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll processing and administration.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and other relevant tools.
  • Understanding of payroll tax regulations and labor laws.
  • Strong communication skills
