Payroll Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing healthcare organization in North Phoenix that’s seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time, fully onsite role offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to work in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. The pay range is between 55,000-62,000 DOE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for multi-state and multi-entity operations
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll transactions including wages, benefits, garnishments, and taxes
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve discrepancies and support audits
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and timekeeping
  • Assist with payroll reporting and year-end processes including W-2 preparation

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-state/multi-entity environment
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance standards
  • Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Sage, Paycom, UKG, or similar platforms)
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage sensitive information with discretion
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
