TechOps Supervisor
LHH is currently conducting a search for a people‑focused leader with strong monitoring and operational experience to support their growing Technical Operations organization. This is a high‑impact leadership role focused on team development and improving production reliability.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead the Monitoring and Production Support teams, ensuring consistent execution across incident response, alerting, and operational workflows.
Drive improvements in telemetry quality, tagging standards, dashboards, and monitoring strategy.
Support operational readiness for product teams, including CI/CD visibility and SDLC delivery metrics.
Partner closely with Incident, Change, and Problem Management to enhance service stability and reduce noise, false positives, and time‑to‑resolution.
Guide team execution of automation, Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices, and observability‑as‑code implementations.
Establish structured team rhythms such as 1:1s, standups, retrospectives, and planning cadences.
Provide oversight and review of monitoring standards, release quality signals, and runbook maturity.
Act as an escalation point for high‑severity incidents in a 24/7 operations environment.
Collaborate with Engineering, Security, and TechOps leaders to improve service instrumentation and reliability.
Ensure operational processes are repeatable, measurable, and aligned with organizational strategy.
Perform other leadership duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
2+ years of direct people‑leadership experience (hiring, coaching, performance management).
3+ years in TechOps, SRE, DevOps, or a similar operational role.
Strong understanding of monitoring and observability tools (Datadog or similar).
Functional AWS experience (EC2 plus containers/serverless experience preferred).
Familiarity with IaC (Terraform), automation scripting (Python or Bash), and modern delivery metrics (DORA).
Proven ability to implement operational processes and drive team accountability.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and conflict‑resolution skills.
Preferred:
5+ years total experience in TechOps/SRE/DevOps
Experience with APM, distributed tracing, SLOs, and large‑scale observability environments
Background with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef)
Exposure to DevSecOps or compliance frameworks
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
