Job Title: Litigation Legal Assistant
Location: Portland, Oregon
Schedule: Onsite
Pay Rate: $28-$37/hr. DOE

Job Description:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a Portland-based law firm seeking a temporary Legal Assistant to join their team immediately. This role supports multiple attorneys in the firm’s insurance defense and administrative law practices, while also providing backup support to other civil litigation attorneys. It’s a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety in their day-to-day work, and wants to contribute as a key member of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide full litigation support, including drafting correspondence, preparing shells, and managing case files
  • Perform state and federal e-filing, ensuring compliance with deadlines and court rules
  • Maintain attorney calendars and manage docketing of critical deadlines
  • Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, creating trial binders, and coordinating logistics
  • Support multiple attorneys with varying needs while ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Utilize document management systems for efficient file handling and case organization
  • Provide occasional backup support to other Portland-based attorneys across practice areas

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of high-level litigation legal assistant experience
  • At least 5 years of Oregon litigation experience, with strong knowledge of ORCP
  • Proven docketing experience and ability to track multiple deadlines
  • Proficiency with a document management system
  • Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously
  • Trial preparation experience strongly preferred
