Job Description:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a respected law firm seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support a busy litigation practice focused on employment, class action, and complex litigation matters. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on cases from inception through trial.
The ideal candidate has experience supporting multi-party litigation, managing large-scale document productions, and coordinating across complex case timelines in both state and federal courts.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize case files and large volumes of client documents, including electronic data in complex and class action matters
- Coordinate and prepare large-scale document productions, including Bates labeling, redaction, and privilege review
- Draft substantive litigation documents for attorney review, including:
- Pleadings and responsive filings
- Discovery requests and responses in complex, multi-party cases
- Motions and proposed orders
- Deposition notices, affidavits, and declarations
- Settlement, dismissal, and related case resolution documents
- Assist with dispositive motions and class certification filings, including cite checking, exhibit preparation, and appendix assembly
- Conduct background checks and obtain court and agency records as needed
- Support trial preparation in complex matters, including exhibit management, witness coordination, subpoena tracking, and courtroom support
- Track and manage deadlines across multiple jurisdictions in state and federal courts
- Perform legal research using online databases and court resources
- Review and submit vendor invoices related to litigation support services
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, including employment litigation
- Experience supporting class action and complex litigation matters preferred
- Oregon and Washington state and federal litigation experience required; California experience is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in high-volume, complex cases
- Familiarity with state and federal court procedures, including class action practice
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with document management systems and eDiscovery platforms
- Experience with Relativity, Everlaw, or similar litigation support platforms preferred
