Job Title: Affordable Portfolio Manager
Location: Onsite – Portland, OR (with travel to properties within Portland as needed)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Full-Time
Compensation: $75,000 – $100,000 annually, DOE

Position Overview
LHH Recruitment is seeking a seasoned and strategic Affordable Portfolio Manager to oversee a portfolio of affordable housing communities in Portland, OR. This is a full-time, onsite role that involves regular travel between properties within the Portland area. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in affordable housing operations, compliance, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Oversight
- Manage day-to-day operations across multiple affordable housing properties
- Ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and other affordable housing regulations
- Monitor property performance and implement strategies to meet occupancy and financial goals
People Leadership
- Supervise and mentor property managers and onsite teams
- Provide coaching, performance evaluations, and support professional development
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture across the portfolio
Financial Management
- Oversee property budgets, financial reporting, and expense controls
- Analyze financial data and prepare monthly and quarterly reports for leadership
- Ensure timely and accurate rent collection and subsidy processing
Resident Relations
- Promote a positive and inclusive living environment for residents
- Address resident concerns and ensure high levels of satisfaction
- Lead community engagement initiatives and retention strategies
Marketing & Leasing
- Develop and execute marketing plans to maintain occupancy targets
- Oversee leasing activities and ensure compliance with fair housing laws
- Monitor market trends and adjust strategies to remain competitive
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a portfolio of affordable housing properties (affordable is required)
- Strong knowledge of affordable housing programs and compliance requirements
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and property operations
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel between properties within Portland, OR
- Bachelors Degree or furthering education is preferred
Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
