LHH is partnering with a growing company in Poway, CA, to hire an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join their finance team. This role is pivotal in managing customer credit, collections, and reporting, and will play a key role in enhancing their AR processes. This is a hybrid role working 3 days in office and 2 days remotely.
Position Overview: The Accounts Receivable/Collections Manager will work closely with Management and Executives to oversee the AR process and ensure money is collected timely. This role will be instrumental to streamline processes and implement new procedures to ensure success.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the Accounts Receivable process including AR aging, and collections
Establish credit terms for new customers and manage credit terms for existing customers.
Handle the preliminary notice and lien release processes.
Supervise and mentor the accounts receivable team
Reconcile accounts receivable accounts and handle escalated issues with customers and maintain overall relationships
Assist staff with payment applications, lien releases, and customer inquiries.
Generate AR reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account data and trends for management.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of AR information to meet month-end deadlines.
Support other month-end closing activities as needed.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in accounts receivable.
Previous supervisory experience required
Experience with lien releases and preliminary notices a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables
