Overview:
LHH is seeking an experienced Corporate Legal Assistant to support five corporate attorneys, including four partners. This role is replacing an individual who is retiring later this year within our client's firm, and the ideal candidate will have a solid background in corporate law, particularly with experience in billing. You will play a crucial role in keeping our client's busy practice organized and efficient. The firm prides itself on providing a great work environment and positive culture!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with the preparation and review of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and corporate filings.
- Conduct thorough legal research and gather relevant information to support corporate transactions.
- Maintain and organize client files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Prepare for client meetings by drafting minutes and resolutions, and assisting with other preparatory tasks.
- Monitor deadlines and help ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Support corporate governance matters, including the maintenance of corporate records.
- Communicate effectively with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders as necessary.
- Collaborate with the existing paralegal team to streamline processes and improve office operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor???s degree and/or a paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
- 3+ years of experience as a corporate legal assistant, with a proven track record of handling closings.
- Strong understanding of corporate law and legal terminology.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
- Ideal candidate will have experience in a large firm and seek a change of pace in a growing, dynamic environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on collaboration.
Details:
- Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
- Compensation: up to $65,000 annually
