Contract Attorney – Trademark Litigation
Remote | Part-Time | 10–20 Hours/Week | Immediate Start | 3–6 Month Contract

Position Overview
A boutique business law team is seeking an experienced Contract Attorney with a background in Trademark Litigation to support an active docket on a part‑time, fully remote basis. This role is ideal for an attorney looking for flexible hours, the ability to maintain concurrent client engagements, and meaningful litigation work involving sophisticated trademark matters.
The position involves supporting clients across a range of industries, including technology, life sciences, and biotech. Industry experience is helpful but not required. Most deposition‑related work can be performed remotely, and candidates outside North Carolina are encouraged to apply.
Key Details
Fully Remote – Work from anywhere in the U.S.
Part-Time: Approx. 10–20 hours/week during EST business hours
Start Date: Immediate need
Duration: 3–6 months, with potential for extension
Concurrent Work: Permitted
Compensation: $75–$125/hr+, with flexibility for higher‑rate candidates
Responsibilities
The Contract Attorney will support active trademark litigation matters, including:
Drafting motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
Conducting legal research and preparing memoranda
Assisting with discovery, including drafting responses and reviewing document productions
Supporting remote depositions, witness preparation, and case strategy development
Reviewing complex fact patterns related to trademark use, likelihood of confusion, and infringement
Preparing case summaries and litigation updates
Collaborating with supervising attorneys while maintaining the ability to work independently
Managing deadlines and ensuring high‑quality, timely work product
Requirements
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in the United States
Demonstrated experience in trademark litigation (federal, TTAB, or both)
Strong legal writing, research, and analytical capabilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet time‑sensitive deadlines
Professional communication skills and comfort working remotely
Experience supporting clients in scientific or biotech fields is a plus but not required
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a resourceful, detail‑oriented attorney who thrives in a flexible remote environment, is comfortable handling trademark disputes with minimal oversight, and can deliver polished, litigation‑ready work while managing a part‑time schedule.
Pay Details: $75.00 to $125.00 per hour
